About the role
Reporting to the Director Technology Strategy and Architecture, as our Manager of Architecture and Innovation, you’ll be responsible for shaping NHVR’s enterprise architecture, building future-ready technology solutions, and leading a team of architects to deliver projects that support national regulatory services.
This role is critical to driving innovation, strengthening technology governance, and making sure NHVR’s systems are adaptable, secure, and aligned with our long-term goals. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and industry partners to influence how technology supports Australia’s heavy vehicle sector.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Set and lead NHVR’s enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap and ensure it supports our vision, goals, and future growth.
- Guide a team of architects, building a strong and innovative culture.
- Ensure solution architecture is delivered to align to project and strategic requirements.
- Design and oversee robust technology solutions for long-term business needs that are flexible and future focused.
- Drive technology innovation and regulatory efficiency through identifying new technologies and trends that can strengthen the NHVR’s digital capability and lead initiatives from idea to concept phase.
- Engage with senior leaders, government, industry partners and influence technology decisions.
- Lead the development of architecture governance frameworks that ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for technology advancement in the heavy vehicle industry and contribute to shaping national regulatory technology discussions.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- 10+ years in enterprise and solution architecture leadership.
- Strong track record leading large-scale technology initiatives.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, strategic planning, and people leadership.
- Experienced in driving innovation from idea to execution.
- Qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Business or similar highly valued.
