About the role
Reporting directly to the National Facilities Lead, NHVR is looking for a seasoned and experienced Facilities Project Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of facilities projects across our national portfolio. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and reporting whilst ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Your scope will include minor, major capitol and non-capitol projects, working with a broad range of internal stakeholders along with managing external delivery partners, builders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by embracing opportunities and innovations that lead to improved service delivery and integration across the portfolio.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including landlords, contractors, facility managers, and suppliers
- Undertake project works – minor and major projects to construct, upgrade, maintain and redevelop facilities including building works, refurbishments, and fit outs working to budgetary and time restraints
- Project manage and undertake adhoc relocations as and when required ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to the highest quality
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to foster an environment of collaboration and co-operation.
- Analysis of financial reporting including creation and adherence to annual budgets, Profit and Loss of various projects
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based Newstead, Brisbane. These projects will be across our geographically dispersed locations and inter/intrastate travel will be required.
About you
This role is ideal for someone from a facilities management background who enjoys variety, autonomy and real responsibility in a fast-paced environment. Along with at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role, we are looking for someone who
- Has a strong understanding of project management including financial responsibility
- Has strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Is comfortable travelling to sites as needed and splitting time between office and on-site activity
- Is practical, solution-focused, and highly accountable
- Has proven and effective interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to develop relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and management.
- Has effective problem solving, time management and risk prioritisation skills with highly developed and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Has strong knowledge of essential services and facilities legislation, building codes and OH&S requirements
Formal tertiary and / or business qualifications in Engineering, property or Facilities Management, Project Management or other related fields will be highly regarded.
