Job Summary To teach up to 15 credit hours per semester. The teaching assignment location will be the BCTC Georgetown Scott County Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) Campus and/or the BCTC Danville Campus. Instruction responsibilities include all aspects of Computerized Manufacturing and Machining consisting of but not limited to: Safety, cutting tools, attachments and other accessories for machine tools. Determine materials along with machining specifications applicable to the set up and operation of CNC mill’s and lathes. Manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, bench work. Wire and Sinker EDM. Blueprint Reading for Machinists, and Metrology. |
Job Duties: 1. Plans and carries out instruction and instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special study including training programs to meet the needs of local industry. |
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree OR higher AND Four (4) years work experience in a CMM field |
Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in Computerized Manufacturing and Machining along with 4 years related work experience. |
