Job Summary The Procurement Associate III position is the point of contact for support to KCTCS colleges and business units. This position negotiates and awards contracts, reviews agreements for legality, and modifies and renews existing contracts. This position is also charged with creating and processing solicitations; evaluating proposals and bids; processing orders; and supplier relations. In addition, this role is the WEX fuel card administrator for the fleet vehicles across the system working in tandem with facilities. |
Job Duties: Issues solicitations for purchases and contracting on behalf of the KCTCS System Office and colleges. Manages the WEX fuel card program system-wide for fleet vehicles. |
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business and one (1) and two (2) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business and three (3) and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
Additional Skills Requested: The position desires the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification study and examination that will measure professional competence and the understanding of the body of knowledge surrounding public procurement. Obtaining CPPB designation demonstrates a standard of competency in the public procurement profession. The Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO) designation indicates to the public that, having mastered a body of knowledge, one can make sound decisions that reflect maximum value for the taxpayer's dollar. |
