Job Summary

West Kentucky Community & Technical College is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant with a strong focus on data entry. In this role, you will support the Human Resources department by accurately entering, updating, and maintaining employee records and HR-related data. Job Duties:

• Enter and update employee data into HR systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Assist with onboarding data entry for new hires, including new hire forms, employment contracts and system setup
• Update employee information such as job titles, department changes, contact details, Family Medical Leave, etc.
• Support payroll functions in a timely manner, including completion of journal entries
• Knowledge of general accounting standards
• Generate reports and spreadsheets as needed
• Assist in general HR administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing records
• Collaboration with other HR departments throughout KCTCS
• Assist in maintaining an applicant tracking system
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data and sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in HR or a related field, 3-4 years of relevant experience 

Additional Skills Requested:

• Experience with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
