Job Summary The Financial Aid Advisor IV position provides administrative and technical leadership, expert consultation and best practices and procedures in all financial aid manner to support system wide KCTCS college financial aid fund programs. It combines student financial aid functional knowledge and technical expertise with an emphasis on federal compliance support. Responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of financial aid systems, indirectly leading other financial aid systems staff, and providing ongoing training. Additionally, this role contributes to the enhancement of financial aid processes, development of operational metrics, problem-solving initiatives, and performance improvement efforts. |
Job Duties: Provides leadership, oversight, and assumes responsibility for Pell and Direct loan processing, external and internal audits, college financial plan and net price calculator, verification processes, course auditor mismatches, etc. for the entire KCTCS system of colleges, which requires significant coordination with outside entities such as the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, U.S. Department of Education, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), and the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS). |
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
Additional Skills Requested: Experience with PeopleSoft and the Microsoft Suite is a plus. |
