Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Benefits Specialist II position is to provide support for the Benefit Operation functional area. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate entry of benefit information into the PeopleSoft HCM system, working with carriers to process long/short term disability claims and life insurance claims, processing benefit enrollment updates due to qualifying events and enrollments for new hires, processing national medical support notices, supporting open enrollment events, provide benefit customer support to employees and retirees, support the retiree direct billing process, participate in reconciliation of billing to withholdings, and other duties as assigned. This position will participate in PeopleSoft testing, implementations, and upgrades as they relate to the benefit programs in PeopleSoft. This position will work cooperatively with team members in the Payroll Shared Services and Benefit Operations organization and provide reporting as needed and will function as a back-up for the Benefit Manager. |
Job Duties: Entry, audit, and assist with benefit set up in PeopleSoft HCM and all ancillary processes associated with benefit assignment and withholding. |
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent. |
