Job Summary

The Academic Program Coordinator at Jefferson Community & Technical College supports students at the Southwest and Bullitt campuses, including both traditional and dual credit students. This role provides direct academic guidance to help students successfully navigate their educational pathways. The coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and supportive student experience from enrollment to completion. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for success in this dynamic position.

Job Duties:


• Contribute to administrative operations and projects for the Southwest and Bullitt Director's Office.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to the college
• Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other educational partners in the Dixie Corridor
• Facilitate early student connections to tutoring, accessibility, and other academic and non-academic support services.
• Administer placement assessments at Southwest and Bullitt campuses and coordinate with departments to ensure accurate documentation.
• Advise students at Jefferson (both in-person and virtually), including first-time freshmen, students with undecided majors, and those pursuing various other degree programs.
• Coordinate and execute student engagement events to attract prospective students and retain current students.
• Serve as the primary contact for the Dual Credit Office, overseeing all Bullitt County Public Schools dual credit classes, enrollment, and pathways. Support the development of aligned CTE pathways and coordinate communication and efforts with the school system regarding Dual Credit courses.
• Primary dual credit responsibility includes the complete enrollment cycle for dual credit general and technical education classes for Bullitt County Public Schools. The enrollment cycle consists of but is not limited to coordinating visits to Bullitt County Public Schools system, facilitating class requests for on campus and online classes, student advising, student enrollment, billing inquiries and ensuring final grades are posted.
• Serve on college-wide committees as needed.
• Required to travel between both extended campuses, Southwest and Bullitt County, with work hours divided between the two locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (related field) and one year of related experience, or equivalent. Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation. Must have the ability to work some evening and weekend events as needed.
