Job Summary

The Registrar’s Office of Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time Student Affairs Assistant III. The purpose of this position is to articulate post-secondary credit to apply to the student record and assist the Veteran’s and Military Coordinator with supporting military-connected students.

Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for Jefferson Transfer Student credit articulation processes. To include communications of policy to students, staff & faculty, tracking of active students, evaluation, posting and problem solving.
• Assist with updating and reviewing the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) data with equivalency changes and postings.
• Oversee the receipt of Joint Services Transcript (JST) and Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts as well as oversight of the course credit evaluation process for military training.
• Become a School Certifying Official to assist the Military and Veterans Office with routine educational benefits processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
Candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to multi-task and think independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree and three years related work experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and additional related experience preferred.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with PeopleSoft or other student information systems is preferred.
