Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist II position provides technical support and troubleshooting for computer systems, software, and hardware. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical problems, both remotely and in person, document issues and resolutions, and may also assist with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance.

Job Duties:

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support information technology systems including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, network infrastructure, and operating systems on multiple platforms. Set up and provide support for classroom information technologies, maintain information technology system reliability and security; provide audio/visual/information technology system support and provide information technology related training. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree (computer, technical or related field), and four years of related experience, or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (computer, technical or related field), and four years of related experience. Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting information technology, networking and telecommunications systems in an educational environment. Experience with Microsoft applications, VOIP, CISCO networking hardware, Juniper networking hardware, distance learning technologies, networking infrastructure, virtualized information technology environments, and audio/visual setup and support.
