Job Summary

The eLearning Office of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for an Education Specialist. This position facilitates the eLearning Department of JCTC and is primarily located at the Southwest Campus.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement Professional development opportunities for faculty on online course development, implementation, and pedagogy.
• Facilitates administrative processes associated with the Academic Calendar and online classes.
• Monitors eLearning website pages and make suggestions to facilitate faculty success.
• Helps with faculty experiencing technical difficulties with online classes, including the Jefferson LMS Certification, and responds to faculty emails and phone calls.
• Kentucky Essential Standards (KES) for online classes support.
• Work with college division and department on instructional design of online courses for various subject areas in both General and Technical education.
• Requests and prepares reports, develops, and implements project timelines.
• Work with college divisions and departments to develop online schedule of classes each semester.
• Supervises student workers if needed.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external constituents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (related field) and one-year related experience, or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree. Teaching experience in Higher Education. High level of skill in Blackboard knowledge-based software. Experience in analyzing Academic Program Plans and advising. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail oriented. Driven performer that is collaborative and team-oriented.
