Job Summary
Collaborate with faculty to ensure optimal experiences in the Nursing clinical skills labs and Biology Lab.
Job Duties:
Manage the nursing clinical skills lab, including set up, transition, and clean up, with assistance from faculty and students
Maintaining the Biology laboratory at Winchester campus.
Ensure lab supplies, equipment, and manikins are readily available, turned on, and in working order prior to the start of scheduled labs.
Provide a safe lab environment, including ongoing development and enforcement of safety processes and procedures.
Assist nursing faculty with scheduling and evaluating clinical skills checkoffs.
Manage the inventory of supplies and lab equipment, documenting inventory annually.
Recommend and assist with the purchasing process for lab equipment and supplies
Orient faculty and students to the nursing clinical skills lab, including manikins and all related equipment
Work with the Simulation Manager to troubleshoot daily problems, such as failure of software, hardware, and manikin dysfunction
Supervise students during open lab hours
Manage student workers when available
Support Biology and Biotechnology programs as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by Assistant Dean of Nursing/Natural Sciences and/or Director of Nursing
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (in related field) and two years of relevant experience or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (in related field) and four years of relevant experience or equivalent
