Job Summary

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:

Performs routine and complex duties in support of library patron needs and library management goals under minimal supervision.


• Resolves library-related issues and provides information on library services to individuals or groups based on set material or standards, including providing information literacy instruction for academic programs, managing library tutorial content in the Learning Management System, and assisting students with database access and resource use.
• Maintains internal and external partnerships to advance the goals of the library program, including working with faculty and student services and supporting college-wide events or orientation initiatives.
• Incorporates improvement recommendations into existing services based on feedback and institutional needs, including maintaining and updating library website content, and the library’s online instructional resources.
• Performs other duties as assigned, which may include overseeing basic marketing and outreach, assisting with interlibrary loan services, and contributing to general library operations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and two-four years related work experience, or equivalent.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.
