Job Summary
Provides student learning through the delivery of course instruction in CDL training (instruction) for businesses and students through Workforce Solutions.
Job Duties:
Facilitate delivery of CDL training to students from a variety of backgrounds and monitor all student skill progress.
Ensure students comply with all federal and state DOT requirements and ensure program standards continually meet the Federal Training Provider Registry Requirements.
Schedule and prepare students for successful CDL driving test.
Work daily with the team to organize classroom, range, and on-the-road student training activities, being mindful of student-to-instructor ratio and individual student learning styles.
Evaluate and assess student completion and learning outcomes.
Collaborate with Workforce Solutions support team for student success coaching and tracking as needed.
Deliver instruction for full-time evening CDL training classes, each lasting six weeks.
Coordinate curriculum and scheduling with day programs to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
Maintain required documentation and monitor evening student progress and success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree of equivalent and 4-6 years of experience
Active CDL A License
2 years over-the-road CDL driving experience or other related technical experience
Must be able to work independently.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
5 years of CDL driving experience or other related technical experience
