Job Summary The Refugee Vocational Training Program Outreach /Intake Specialist implements outreach, recruitment, and participant screening for the BCTC Global Learning’s Refugee Vocational Training Program, a grant funded effort by the Kentucky Office of Refugee. This position ensures that eligible participants are identified, assessed, and enrolled in accordance with Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) guidelines. The Navigator conducts initial testing, develops preliminary career plans, and connects participants to supplemental educational and training resources such as English as a Second Language (ESL), computer literacy, and career exploration courses. The Navigator also facilitates referrals to social services, establishes clear lines of communication between participants, BCTC RVT Program staff, and Kentucky Refugee Ministries case managers, and transitions participants to the RVTP Job Developer for ongoing career coaching and case management. |
