Salary Range: $52,200 annual salary ($49,200 base salary with additional stipend of $3,000)

Job Summary

The program coordinator of the Surgical Technologist program will fill a 12 month in-person position that provides academic leadership, program development, and instructional oversight to support student success, workforce readiness, and programmatic accreditation. Ideal candidates must possess strong leadership and clinical expertise in surgical practice.

Job Duties:

This role is responsible for leading the Surgical Technology program ensuring alignment with CAAHEP and ARC/STSA standards, industry best practices, and institutional goals. Responsibilities include curriculum development, advisory committee leadership, and operating room competency validation. The position requires significant interaction with students, faculty, staff, surgeons, pereioperative teams, and clinical partners through in person instruction, lab simulation, clinical coordination, and community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)-accredited Surgical Technology program. Must hold a minimum of an Associate's degree and have an active national certification in surgical technology (e.g., CST). Minimum requirement of 5 years of experience in the field within the last 10 years and have expereince as an operating room scrub technician, an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both.  

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree. Preferred to have previous documented education or experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
