Job Summary
Bluegrass Community and Technical College is seeking a qualified applicant for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in the Nurse Aide program at all BCTC campus locations, including Workforce Solutions. Faculty will primarily teach State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) and Medication Aide classes in addition to proctoring and evaluating the SRNA performance exam. This role may provide instruction in the didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Job Duties:
Participate in instructional presentation and delivery; the planning and designing of instructional programs, instructional evaluation, and assessment
Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, curriculum review, revision, and development
Incorporate the latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery
Assume a participative role in supporting and promoting the mission, goals, and objectives of the college by performing the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the leadership of the program, division, and college
Be responsible for teaching State Registered Nurse Aide and Medication Aide classes in the didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Proctor and Evaluate the SRNA performance exam in the BCTC KNAT Testing Center.
Help recruit students for the program
Advise students who are in the program
Monitor and improve student retention
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff
Participate in faculty committees
And other activities and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Kentucky with 2 years RN experience, and at least 1 year RN experience working in a long-term care facility.

Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.

Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy
