Job Summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College is seeking to hire a temporary/part-time Admissions Coordinator. This position provides clerical support to evaluate applications, enter admissions data, and share admissions decisions to serve the goal of recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented student body.

Job Duties:

• Provide admissions assistance to prospective students and applicants who contact or walk into the START (Student Testing Admissions Registration Transcripts) Center.
• Advise students about placement and assist with placement testing.
• Provide academic advising and enrollment services to new and non-credential students
• Provide assistance to current and potential students, parents, school counselors, and other personnel regarding admissions policies and applications status.
• All other duties as assigned.
• The work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 9AM to 3PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree and three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of relevant work experience is preferred.

• Able to follow routine principles and guidelines.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Practice principles of listening, and clear written/verbal communication.
