Job Duties
The Clerk’s Assistant - Court Operations assists the Court’s Director of Operations and the Court’s Logistics Coordinator with all logistics, procurement, facility management, telephone services, and property management for the Court. Many duties relate directly to support services for judges, staff attorneys, and clerks. This section of the Clerk’s Office is also tasked with ensuring that procedures required for the health and safety of personnel and the public are implemented in accordance with state and federal law.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities –
· Assists with serving Judges and their staff with administrative needs.
· Assists in the planning and management of Court events such as judicial investitures, retirement ceremonies, etc.
· Interacts with external and internal agencies regarding the Court's administrative functions.
· Assists with the setup and moving of office furniture.
· Assists with procurement for all Court offices.
· Assists in managing operational matters, including facilities, equipment, technology, and interagency issues.
· Assists the Court’s compliance officer to ensure that state and federal health and safety requirements are implemented.
· Assists in the planning and management of special projects.
· Assists with the timely implementation of organizational changes.
· Assists with developing and implementing methods and procedures to improve operational effectiveness, reduce operating expenses, and improve the quality of service to customers and the public.
· Assists with evaluating operations and procedures and recommends improvements and modifications.
· Other duties as assigned by the Clerk.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Applicants should be detail-oriented, highly accurate, and organized. They should also be excellent at multitasking and follow-up and be able to learn quickly. Applicants should expect some physical work assignments, such as delivering heavy office equipment throughout the office, breaking down, moving, and setting up office furniture, etc. Applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite computer software.
Additional Considerations
Most competitive applicants will have some court, business, or office operations-related experience.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: assembling, lifting, carrying, moving, and cleaning office furniture and equipment.
