Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) serves Virginia’s veterans and family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have earned through service and sacrifice. Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple clients, programmatic activities and/or projects simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively interact with diverse constituencies and inter-agency government officials.
• Ability to identify and prioritize program performance and service delivery.
• Knowledge of database administration and/or a client relationship management system (CRM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.
• Knowledge of best practices on recruiting, hiring, and retaining military community.

Additional Considerations

Experience and or educational background in social services, business, public administration, education or combination of education and job experience. research, public policy, public administration, business, or related field or equivalent experience. Additional Considerations: Experience with public speaking; knowledge of SMVF terminology and culture.
