Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time HVAC Installation/Repair Technician to perform advanced maintenance and installation work on HVAC systems; work involves the installation, care, and repair of state facilities (WSH and CCCA) and equipment; provide maintenance assistance with issues involving building, equipment, plumbing, electrical, utilities systems, grounds, and snow removal; and being a team player and assisting PPS in work that may be outside the scope of the normal duties and work hours (ie on call, laundry, cleaning, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience with building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or vocational training
- Valid Virginia Driver's license
- Type 1 EPA 608 Refrigerant Recovery Certification or ability to obtain certificate within one year of acceptance of position
