Job Duties
LPN's assist with direct patient care according to individualized treatment care plans. This includes helping patients with activities of daily living and helping patients learn new social and inter-actionable skills in a safe therapeutic environment. LPN's collect and report data for the development of patient plans of care, assist with patient ADL's, and identify and report behavior issues when necessary. When assigned to work evening and night shift, is responsible for unit operations and supervision of CNAs in the absence of a unit RN.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License
Basic Computer Knowledge
Requires current LPN licensure through the Virginia Department of Health Professions
General nursing experience
Experience with bedside nursing and patient observation
Additional Considerations
Long Term Care and Nursing Home experience is preferred
Knowledge gerontology, techniques of behavior management, applied pharmacology as related to elderly patients with chronic medical conditions and mental disorders is preferred
Knowledge of infection control practices is preferred
Basic management and supervisory skills is preferred
Experience working with Electronic Health Records is preferred
