Job Duties

The Senior Member Account Maintenance Analyst facilitates a variety of activities to ensure member records and service are accurate. The incumbent: provides analysis regarding member data, maintains VRS members' account information, resolves issues with member records and serves as subject matter expert on refunds processing, service credit, plan tiers, benefits and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Maintain knowledge of current VRS administered plans and benefits
• Submit detailed requests for code changes
• Serve as consult for code fix design discussions and design document review/approval
• Test fixes to VNAV and myVRS functionality
• Assign, manage, and approve workflows for the Member Account Maintenance unit
• Approve deferred member refund requests and assess each request for accuracy
• Conduct monthly review of refund transactions
• Develop procedures for all refund and member record functions and conduct annual procedure reviews
• Establish processes between the Disbursement unit and the Member Account Maintenance unit
• Partner closely with other finance units, Disbursements, Accounts Receivable, Employer Confirmation, and Data Quality, to resolve member account issues
• Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, or a closely-related field is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Five years of experience in benefits administration, business, insurance, public administration, legal services, or similar.
Previous experience conducting research and analysis.
Previous customer service experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills and experience working within large databases.

Additional Considerations

Previous experience working in the public sector, preferred.
Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
Previous experience using VNAV and/or ALM software, preferred.
Familiarity with refund processing, service credits, plan tiers, benefits, and/or ad-hoc reporting, preferred.

Currently, this position has a hybrid work schedule which means working in the office two days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and working remotely (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays) three days a week. The selected candidate must be able to work in the office any day of the week as required by the manager.
