Job Duties
Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state-of-the-art campus, situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) system and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
ESH invites applications for the position of part-time RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGIST II).
The qualified candidate will have diagnostic radiologic skills; knowledge to perform and supervise radiologic procedures and evaluate digital films for technical quality acceptable for Radiologist reading; and will be skilled in the operation of all equipment needed to perform and report on diagnostic procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Science program for technologist with a minimal eighteen-month (18) degree
- Licensed in Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist
- Certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Additional Considerations
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
- Experience with adult and geriatric mental health patients.

This position is a hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
