Job Duties
To provide psychiatric/Recreational Therapy group work and individualized therapeutic activities for individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent, mental, emotional, and behavior illnesses, intellectual disabilities, implement and documenting progress in the electronic health record
Minimum Qualifications
1. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services
includes needs assessment, meting quality standards for services and evaluation of
client satisfaction.
2. Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability,
personality, and interests; learning and motivation and the assessment and treatment of
behavioral and affective disorders.
3. Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for rehabilitation for physical and
mental dysfunctions.
4. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning
and spelling of words, and rules of composition and grammar.
5. Knowledge of administrative and office procedures such as word processing and
managing files and records.
Additional Considerations
1. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in
a Social Services field is highly preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
2. Prefer certification as a CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner), ADC,
CTRS, or teaching certification.
3. Previous experience in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long term care, or
correction setting is preferred.
4. Driver’s license.
