We are hiring an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic and tactical partner to our leaders, fostering an engaging, collaborative, and inclusive work environment that supports our mission. This role has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.
In this position, you will:
• Lead and participate in HR initiatives and projects including performance management, succession planning, performance-based compensation planning, and career development programs
• Partner with assigned division leaders to proactively manage and execute full cycle recruiting of talent including actively sourcing hard to fill positions
• Foster a culture of high engagement and collaboration through positive onsite work experiences, transparent communications, and promoting a sense of belonging
• Develop and deliver meaningful training that builds skills and competencies and achieves identified objectives
• Advise and coach leadership and staff on HR policies and practices
• Participate in employee relations matters by facilitating communication in difficult situations, and investigating employee complaints or concerns
Successful candidates will have:
• Five to seven years of experience in multiple aspects of HR or related field; an equivalent combination of skills and experience will be considered
• HR related certification preferred
• Experience recruiting and supporting IT employees preferred
• Experience in fast paced, and flexible work environment providing service to customers, employees, and/or vendors
• Experience building and deploying employee-centric programs to diverse audiences
• Experience developing learning programs
• Knowledge of human resources trends and best practices
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and their practical application in a public work environment
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software and database management systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to influence others and diffuse highly emotional situations
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
• Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to work on a team that delivers a high-availability level of service

Work Environment:
• This position works a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week onsite in our office
• Typical office environment with considerable time in a sitting, stationary position
• Must be able to occasionally move about the office to retrieve files and documents
• Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment including typing and keying
• Frequently communicate with employees, vendors, and applicants; must be able to exchange accurate information accordingly
• Occasional travel required
