Job Duties

Department programs and courses provide particular support for Mission principles concerned with teaching and scholarship in the discipline of computer science, computer engineering, and manufacturing engineering, globally oriented studies, and students who are diversely prepared for employment in industry and/or graduate and professional schools.
The Faculty in this position is responsible for the delivery of instruction to students and to engage in professional activities primarily related to effective teaching, research in the discipline, and significant service to students, the University, the profession, the community, and humankind at large.
This is a full-time, tenure-eligible (tenure-track) position. The selected candidate will begin employment in August 2025, at the start of the Fall semester.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated established research activities in emerging computer engineering areas including quantum engineering, embedded systems, cybersecurity, AI engineering, and sensor networks.
- Demonstrated ability to establish externally funded applications-based research.
- Demonstrated ability to perform continuous program improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective curriculum materials.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and effectively present course work.
- Demonstrated ability to elicit student interest.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute generally to student academic progress in a significant way.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and organize the classroom environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement assessment activities.
