Are you a skilled data analyst with a passion for transforming healthcare data into actionable insights? The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a highly qualified Data Analysis and Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team, supporting behavioral health, developmental disability, and substance use disorder treatment within the Commonwealth’s state Behavioral Health hospital system. This is your opportunity to drive data-driven improvements across a system that impacts lives statewide.

In this role, you will be instrumental in modernizing data collection methods and enhancing reporting processes to support performance management and operational excellence. You will collect, analyze, manage, and present data that directly contributes to improving service delivery and outcomes across our state-run facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and distribute high-quality data reports to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights. Design impactful Power BI dashboards and data visualizations that reflect the strategic intent of monthly operational reviews.
• Data Management & Streamlining: Lead the charge in reducing manual processes by utilizing available IT solutions to modernize and streamline data collection methods.
• Strategic Guidance: Serve as the subject matter expert for data-driven strategic initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to improve the validity and reliability of decision-making processes.
• Collaboration & Training: Work alongside clinical, medical, nursing, operational, and administrative leaders, as well as external partners, to facilitate consensus and drive improvements. Develop training materials for staff to enhance their understanding of data management tools and reporting within the Facility Services Division.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine data management protocols and enhance enterprise solutions to support better outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong background in healthcare data systems, administrative and clinical processes, and workflows.
• Experience in informatics, data management, and advanced analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop Power BI dashboards and create engaging data visualizations that convey insights effectively.
• A proven track record in problem-solving and data analysis.
• Familiarity with change management and project management to drive process improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including executive-level leaders, clinical teams, and external partners.

Additional Considerations

• Experience in data analysis, data management, report development, or similar roles, particularly within healthcare settings.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools to develop and maintain reporting solutions.
