Rondo Headquarters is seeking a Supervisor Maintenance to oversee and perform a variety of simple to complex roadway maintenance activities. Supervise a crew and provide technical guidance to crew members performing maintenance activities and equipment operation.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inventory management
- Leadership and supervision of work crews performing maintenance and construction activities
- Records preparation and management: develop schedules, budgets, and work priorities
- Vehicle and equipment operations and preventive maintenance
- Emergency operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Skilled in the use of computers and software applications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Skilled in operating and maintaining light to heavy duty trucks and equipment.
- Ability to perform manual labor.
- Ability to direct, evaluate and train others.
- Safety shoes required.
- Considerable knowledge of roadway maintenance and construction practices and procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications thereafter.
- Ability to obtain valid CDL and DOT medical card within 11 months of employment and maintain thereafter. Must comply with DOT and VDOT policies and standards when operating CDL equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory practices and procedures.
Additional Considerations
- A combination of training, experience, or education in Management, Maintenance, Construction, or related field desired.
- DCR Erosion and Sediment Control certification.
- Experience supervising others and evaluating performance.
- Experience planning schedules and assigning manpower.
- Ability to gather data, conduct research and create reports.
- Experience overseeing emergency operations activities including snow removal, storm damage, and accident clean-up.
- Inventory management experience.
- Experience in roadway maintenance and, or construction activities.
