Job Duties

• Serve as the primary liaison between NSU and regional community colleges. Conduct daytime visits to community colleges, engaging with prospective transfer students and advisors. Promote NSU’s transfer pathways, articulation agreements, and academic programs. Represent NSU at transfer fairs, recruitment events, and information sessions. Coordinate recruitment strategies tailored to transfer student needs.
•Manage and maintain CAS to streamline transfer application processing. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with university policies and transfer admission requirements. Utilize CAS to enhance transfer student engagement and communication. Collaborate with IT and admissions staff to optimize CAS functionality.
• Support the implementation of the PASSPORT Program to facilitate smooth transfer experiences.
• Work with community colleges to identify eligible students and assist with program enrollment.
• Provide guidance to PASSPORT participants on academic planning and transition resources.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records of participation.
• Review and process transfer and first-time freshmen applications in accordance with university policies.
• Evaluate transcripts to determine transfer credit eligibility.
• Communicate with applicants regarding missing documents, application status, and next steps.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the admissions system.


Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of transfer student admissions processes and community college pathways.
• Experience with College Admission Services (CAS) and other admissions technologies.
• Knowledge of articulation agreements, transfer credit evaluations, and student transition programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with prospective students and partners.
• Ability to travel regularly to community colleges and recruitment events.
• Proficiency in data management and application processing systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, or related higher education areas.
• Knowledge of transfer admissions policies, student support services, and recruitment strategies.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
