Job Duties

About the Agency:

The Virginia Department of Military Affairs State Team provides professional and responsive state support functions to the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia Air Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force in order to ensure their ability to support and defend the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Purpose of Position: To record and track use of all lease and state-owned vehicles to ensure state regulations are followed. Monitor vehicle maintenance records to ensure vehicles are well maintained, fueled, and inspections are done in a timely manner. Assist with tracking fixed assets for accountability purposes and conducting inventory reviews/audits. Assist with Surplus property movement and disposal. Assist with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of office and warehouse operations;

Demonstrated ability to follow directions;

Must be detailed oriented, have a proven record of accuracy, and provide exceptional customer service;

Demonstrated ability in the use of computers, office programs, office equipment and vehicle maintenance;

Demonstrated ability to interpret instructions, handle multiple priorities, be deadline driven, have exceptional time management skills, and exceptional organization skills;

Ability to plan and organize work; communicate effectively orally and in writing; have analytical/problem solving skills;

Must have a valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record;

Must be willing to receive training on various warehouse equipment as needed;

Experience with Excel, office programs, warehouse work and/or inventory required;

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, and walk frequently.

Additional Considerations

Experience with vehicle maintenance preferred;

Previous experience as a SharePoint administrator desired.
