About the Position:
The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Intelligence Analyst Senior in our Virginia Fusion Center (VFC) in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The successful candidate be responsible for the research, evaluation, and dissemination of criminal intelligence information to support prevention and response efforts for terrorism and criminal activity; conduct database checks and compile results to respond to requests for information in a timely, efficient manner; and create intelligence reports and products relating to criminal activity, terrorism and suspicious activity and provides results to supervision/management to assist in the modification of policies, procedures, and resources in the Fusion Center.

Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of research and analysis techniques. General knowledge of analytical application programs, law enforcement databases, and software to produce Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based maps, text, tables, graphs, and charts is preferred. Skill in the use of personal computers and using Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, summarize, interpret, and communicate information and technical data orally and in writing; to apply critical thinking to diverse information sets and to produce logic-based analysis and recommendations on probable and potential trends and event outcomes; to maintain accurate and complete files, manage multiple priorities, and follow oral and written instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and representatives of other agencies and organizations; and communicate effectively in English with staff and external partners to ensure goals and objectives are met.
Additional Considerations
•Experience in government or criminal justice, to include analytical experience or criminal analytical training is preferred.
•Public safety experience or other broad scope of governmental experience desired.
•General knowledge of analytical application programs, law enforcement databases, and software to produce Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based maps, text, tables, graphs, and charts is preferred.
