Job Duties

• Performs supervision of patients and facilitates activities with patients as assigned, ensuring that active treatment occurs
• Consistently produces agreed upon results under a variety of conditions. Meets goals and targets. Plans and sets priorities well. Is organized and gets things done on time and in time.
• Provides training in the form of didactic, modeling, and in- situ coaching to team members to develop (A) behavioral assessment to include preference assessments and functional behavior assessment, (B) the development and review of behavior intervention planning, (C) data collection, review, analysis, and graphing to consider treatment decisions, (D) skill development strategies for the individuals served at Central State Hospital (i.e. social skills, coping skills)
• Consistently demonstrates an attitude of respect and empowerment to the patients and others by maintaining a professional demeanor when working with patients and serving as a role model to direct care staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to provide positive statements to individuals served.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to provide oral and written instructions.
• Ability to implement basic behavioral principles.
• Proficiency working with individuals with all levels of intellectual disability, to include severe and profound, and with individuals who have significant impairment related to symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental abilities.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and support multidisciplinary team to implement behavioral strategies.
• Ability to build rapport and helping relationships with Center staff and patients alike.

Additional Considerations

• Current RBT credential preferred.
• Must complete agency-approved training program for placement into a position and acquire Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within 60 days of employment. Must remain in compliance with BACB requirements and renew certification yearly.
