Job Duties
Oversees the marketing, communications and media strategy for the Division of Student Affairs in marketing activities and communication activities which support the divisional mission and goals. Serves as an intentional collaborator in the development and execution of communications strategies and plans for events to elevate the student experience. Assists the departments within the division with the development of effective marketing, communications, and media to ensure effective deliverables, a robust communication culture, and a highly engaging student experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills; strong strategic, creative, and problem-solving skills; excellent organizational skills; and must be able to handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines in a professional, efficient and effective manner. Familiarity with online communications and client tools including web content management systems, broadcast email marketing tools, and social networking. Expertise in use of English grammar, punctuation, and syntax. Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, or Creative Cloud programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Illustrator, graphic design and photography. Must have experience in creating & managing content for podcast.
Additional Considerations
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising, Journalism, Communications or relevant field. A minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, graphics design, and social media campaigns. Prior experience developing marketing and communication strategies for campaigns and projects; solid experience managing multiple, concurrent projects; prior experience working in a higher education setting. Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred. Experience working in a diverse student-centered environment preferred. Experience supervising and/or advising students.
