The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Assistant Division Director in the Eligibility and Enrollment Services Division.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
This position serves as the Assistant Director for Eligibility and Enrollment Services. This position assists in providing executive leadership, oversight, strategic direction and program management for the Division of Eligibility and Enrollment Services. This includes the day-to-day oversight, development, updating and implementation of eligibility policy related operations and services provided through contracts and the Department of Social Services to include the monitoring and oversight of eligibility enrollment trends/processing by local agencies. This position provides high-level expertise and will serve as an expert consultant to the Governor, the Secretary of Health and Human Resources, the Department Director and Management Team on complex medical assistance eligibility and enrollment topics. This position serves as the primary program management support to the Division Director and assists with the coordination and enhancement of determinations of eligibility for DMAS programs to assure that such decisions are accurate, timely, in compliance with all federal regulations, and provide a high-quality consumer experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and experience in Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) policies with a specific focus on eligibility and enrollment.
Considerable knowledge and experience with state eligibility determination systems such as Virginia Case Management System (VaCMS) and Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
Considerable experience in preparing and presenting training or other presentations on Medicaid/CHIP eligibility issues.
Experience designing and implementing product workflows and quality assurance measures.
Considerable experience operating a personal computer with spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Considerable experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying federal, state laws/regulations.
Experience meeting deadlines.
Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders to include project management.
Experience managing large scale teams and projects.
