Job Duties
This position will serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Public Safety & Law Enforcement and will update and maintain administrative digital and physical files; perform a variety of functions to support the daily administrative needs of the Chief; Perform a variety of basic accounting functions, financial analysis and auditing functions to discern discrepancies, incompatibilities, or redundancies; maintaining and updating a variety of accurate financial records, logs, charts and other documents; assist with the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts; assists with data collection and documentation; assist with a variety of specialized office assistance and administrative tasks and perform related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a comparable administrative/financial support role.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
- Working experience and competency with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ability to prepare, file, and reconcile data.
- Working experience with financial analysis and reporting.
Additional Considerations
- Experience working with state government accounting.
- Demonstrated organizational and records management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision and act independently as well as collaboratively.
- Skill in the use of computers and software applications.
