Job Duties
The Deputy Clerk/Courtroom Clerk (Grade 8) is assigned operational responsibilities in a modem, high volume office with frequent deadlines; provides support to the Clerk of Court and judges; prepares and executes legal papers with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and judicial instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enter data into automated Case Management System; process correspondence and court forms; provide in court support on a rotation with other deputy clerks; assess fines and costs; receipt financial transactions and conduct cash reconciliation; provide information by phone and in person to the public, attorneys, and supporting agencies; records management. Strong keyboarding skills required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Demonstrate strong general office and customer service skills. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
ACCURATE DATA ENTRY AND COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED.
Additional Considerations
Most competitive applicants will have knowledge of the court/criminal justice system.
