Job Duties

  • Directing the day-to-day operations of the compliance office.
  • Oversee interpretation of NCAA rules.
  • Develops procedures and policies to remain in compliance, plans and implements education and training for staff, monitors eligibility and financial aid, advises and counsels athletes on eligibility, and assists with the overall.
  • Monitoring of rules compliance in accordance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Coordinating National Letter of Intent program
  • Assisting with writing and processing of appropriate legislation waivers to the NCAA and or MEAC office.
  • Investigating, processing, and submitting violation reports.
  • Monitoring the NCAA eligibility center.
  • Serving as liaison for various departments across campus (Registrar, admission, financial aid).
  • Serves as primary liaison for institutional name/image/likeness program to ensure adherence to NCAA regulations and state law.
  • Maintain student-athlete files/records for the Athletics Compliance Office, ensuring that all required NCAA and MEAC documentation is up-to-date and preserved according to the institution’s document retention policy.
  • Developing and implementing athletics compliance policies and procedures.
  • Developing user education programs for internal and external constituents.
  • Direct and assist in all areas of rules compliance, including but not limited to rules education, recruiting, amateurism, eligibility, awards and benefits, and playing/practice seasons. The position will maintain a working knowledge of NCAA, conference, and
    institutional rules and regulations.
  • Oversee varsity sports.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Minimum three years’ experience working in compliance and/or athletic administration.
3. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Additional Considerations

1. 5 Years of experience working in compliance and/or athletic administration.
2. Experience with TeamWorks and NCAA Applications.
3. Experience working in a Division I athletics program.
