In this impactful role, you'll work closely with the Volunteer and Internship Coordinator to recruit, onboard, support, and recognize volunteers of all ages. Your efforts will directly enhance the visitor experience, expand the Museum's reach, and create meaningful opportunities for community engagement.

In addition, this position will support the Teen Leadership Program, where you'll help cultivate a safe and inclusive environment for teens (ages 15–18) to develop professional skills, build confidence, and become future STEM leaders.

This hands-on, fast-paced role requires weekend availability and occasional evenings and holidays to align with Museum programming and events. If you’re energized by community impact and love working with people, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note that this is a part-time position and will be scheduled for 29 hours a week on average with a maximum of 1500 hours in a 12-month period. No state benefits are provided.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using database software such as Volgistics or similar platforms is advantageous, along with experience using G-Suite or comparable word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation tools. Maintaining confidentiality, providing accurate information, and delivering reliable administrative support are key responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate must be well-organized, able to plan and meet deadlines, and capable of learning, interpreting, and communicating volunteer policies and practices effectively. Availability on weekends is required; some evenings and holidays may also be required.
