Job Duties
Richard Bland College (RBC) is a two-year, residential, liberal arts transfer institution that focuses on preparing students for transfer to highly-ranked colleges and universities. The College is a hidden gem located outside the Tri-Cities region—and its rural setting featuring 750+ acres of wetlands, bucolic forest, and the state’s oldest and largest pecan grove.• Coordinate and manage the registration process for campus-wide events, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to guidelines.
Richard Bland College is recruiting for a Student Engagement Coordinator. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the student experience by overseeing campus-wide event registration, advising and nurturing student organizations, organizing campus activities and events, providing guidance to the Student Government Association, and managing social media platforms for the Office of Student Engagement. Additionally, the position involves coordinating off-campus events and excursions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise and support student organizations, fostering their growth and effectiveness through leadership development and organizational planning.
• Plan and execute a variety of campus activities and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of students, ensuring engagement and participation.
• Provide advisory support to the Student Government Association, assisting with governance, initiatives, and student advocacy efforts.
• Manage and maintain the Office of Student Engagement's social media platforms, creating content, engaging with students, and promoting events and activities effectively.
• Plan and organize off-campus events and excursions, ensuring logistical arrangements, student safety, and compliance with university policies.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with campus departments, student groups, and external organizations to enhance student engagement opportunities.
• Assist in budget planning and management related to student engagement activities and events, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources.
• Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of student engagement initiatives, using data to inform future programming.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in student engagement and higher education, participating in professional development opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work Nights, Evenings, and Weekends

Associate’s Degree in Business, Psychology, or Communications Preferred
