Piedmont Geriatric Hospital (PGH), operated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), is a 123-bed psychiatric facility dedicated exclusively to serving individuals aged 65 and older.

This position requires knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures, as well as knowledge of chemicals, equipment, and supplies use in a health care facility. Knowledge of safety practices as related to housekeeping duties. Working skill in the operation of manual and powered cleaning equipment. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions and schedules. Ability to perform a variety task and tolerate contact with a variety of cleaning products and solutions. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long period of time, and to perform manual labor. Ability to perform cleaning/housekeeping duties in patient occupied areas.

Minimum Qualifications

-Experience in housekeeping for a business, facility, or institution.

Additional Considerations

-Experience in housekeeping in a hospital setting.
