Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) Office of Sexually Violent Predator (OSVP) Services is seeking an SVP Conditional Release and Operations Specialist. This position will be responsible for tasks related to operational and data management as well as the oversight of the SVP conditional release population. These tasks include, but are not limited to, completing Conditional Release Plans and addendums, assisting with home plans and community notifications, monitoring SVP individuals on conditional release in the community, reviewing offender progress reports, data gathering, tracking and generating data-based reports. The position may also be required to complete other operational duties as assigned related to procurement and budget monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to use database tools in the management of, and planning for, the delivery of sex offender services.
• Knowledge or experience related to the legal system and the treatment and/or management of sex offenders.
• Knowledge of sex offender behavior, psychology, and arousal patterns.
• Experience with using database systems to track data and generate reports
• Ability to work with and manage professional service providers.
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with antisocial personality disorders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, manage, and coordinate multiple and diverse projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated history of working with diverse partners in accomplishing the mission.
• Experience with planning and carrying out complex projects within specified timeframes and with set deadlines (project management).

Additional Considerations

• Considerable knowledge of treating sex offenders in both secure and community settings.
• Experience interacting with and providing testimony to the courts.
