Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Forestry is seeking to fill a Nursery Mechanic/Technician position at the Sussex Nursery North of Courtland. This is a loblolly nursery producing 20 million plus seedlings. This is a mechanic position along with technician responsibilities including irrigating, fertilizing, mowing and other associated tasks around the nursery. The mechanic position includes working on our seedling lifter and various other farm equipment not limited to tractors, trucks, and specialized nursery equipment.

-Basic computer skills
-Attention to detail
