Job Duties

The deputy clerk is assigned customer service, operational responsibilities and ensures the court’s directives are executed and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.

This is a wage position with no benefits, approximately 8-16 hours per week; $12.41 per hour.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities –

Duties include, but not limited to, filing, preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines, answering phones, receipting payments, assisting the public at the front counter, scanning, data entry into automated case management system and any other necessary tasks as requested by management. Must be able to multitask. Discretion and integrity while working with highly sensitive and confidential matters is crucial.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Possessing excellent customer service skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills is a plus. Most competitive applicants will be detail-oriented, able to work well with frequent deadlines and have considerable office experience. This is a team-oriented effort; therefore, successful applicant must be willing to perform their assigned duties and assist in other areas as needed.
