Job Duties

To provide support functions to the Intake Section by answering incoming telephone calls and directing callers to the appropriate staff member or section or responding to inquiries in a professional manner. Provides backup for designated employees in determining appropriate intake assignments; accurately data entering information in Virginia CORIS; and preparing the Custody Responsibility Date report. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior office experience. Experience doing data entry and inquiry function in a fast-paced or high volume work environment. Demonstrated skill in using Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work independently with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication and listening skills

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge in Criminal Justice particularly with inmate records and/or classification preferred. Prior experience and familiarity with Virginia CORIS preferred.
