Job Duties:

The purpose of this position will be to provide direct client care under the delegation of an RN and provide direct client care primarily in areas of medication administration and routine, non-emergent treatments. The incumbent in this position will document data gathered according to documentation and care standards and share information with the RN, medical provider, and team to assist in establishing, revising, and monitoring the client's plan of care.

This is a wage position, and the work schedule may vary depending on the needs of the agency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and the ability to function within the scope of practical nursing, including medication administration and medical treatments
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to recognize unsafe situations and take initial action
• Ability to function as a team leader or charge nurse
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and continue to provide effective care
• Basic effective computer skills

Additional Considerations:

• Prior LPN experience in an acute or long-term facility
