Job Duties
Virginia Military Institute Athletics, an NCAA Division I member and member of the North
East Conference is seeking an Assistant Lacrosse Coach.
The successful candidate will:
Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Lacrosse Program.
Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
Coordinate team travel arrangements.
Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement
Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development
Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as significant coaching experience.
• Candidates must have sound written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to academic and athletic success.
• Ethical Conduct.
• Stress Management/Composure.
• Teamwork Orientation.
Additional Considerations
• Experience in coaching and recruiting at the college or university level desired.
