Job Duties

The Program Support Technician Senior receives and creates a confidential digital record of complaints/inquiries forwarded from Executive Team, Administrator Legislative Liaison, Regions and/or facilities to ensure complete accurate and prompt resolution. Be able to make appropriate decisions based on research and review visitation appeals. Report those resolutions to the Visitation Manager

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver’s license. VADOC experience. Experience in using office equipment, i.e. computers, printers, scanners, copies and fax machines. Experience in providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Must have the ability to obtain VCIN certification. Knowledge of and ability to apply the Department’s operational visitation practices, policies, and procedures. Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to research and respond accurately to correspondence and constituents. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to adapt to changes in procedure, priorities, and the automated system, quickly and effectively. Ability to work to deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Considerations

Skilled in the use of windows operating systems to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) to accomplish office support requirements. Extensive knowledge of Visitation operational practices, procedures, and departmental policies. Keying visitor’s application in VACORIS and the Scheduler application
