Job Duties
Virginia Department of Taxation is looking for enthusiastic individuals to serve as a Collections Supervisor. As a Collections Supervisor, you will provide leadership as well as manage, plan, coordinate and evaluate the job responsibilities of the Collection’s staff. As the Collections Supervisor, you will oversee staff that perform a variety of collection duties, including but not limited to: Call center agents, field collections agents, specialty admin staff, tobacco, workforce or offer in compromise.
This position is eligible for two telework days (Monday and Friday) per week and three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) will be required to work from the Main Street Center Office.
The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $67,000

Minimum Qualifications
Skilled using a computer with a Windows environment, basic troubleshooting, and knowledge of common computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and the ability to lead and manage change
Supervisory experience such as team leader, supervisor, manager roles and/or a history of progressive career growth with increased responsibilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience handling conflict resolution or tense employee or customer situations
Additional Considerations
Knowledge and experience with safeguarding sensitive information such as personally identifiable information and taxpayer data
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner
