The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a part-time (wage) Human Resource Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week (1500 hours per wage year) with no benefits. This position will be responsible for providing support with recruitment and selection activities to the Human Resources Division. What you will do:
● Coordinate recruitment and selection activities to include: utilization of the Recruitment Management System in the hiring process; screen applications; schedule interviews; establish/maintain recruitment files; prepare interview packets/documentation; ensure completion of all recruitment checklist items, coordinate records management for recruitment files, position files, follow records retention guidelines.
● Prepare orientation packets for new hires, order publications for packets.
● Assist with performance management process as needed during the annual performance cycle.
● Assist with coordination of special employee programs and events to include service awards.
● Assist with other HR related areas as needed.     

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with recruitment and selection.
• Experience screening applications and scheduling interviews.
• Experience managing confidential information as it relates to personal data.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to think strategically and cross culturally, and independently implement new initiatives and projects.
• Ability to articulate, both orally and in written form, clear and concise program objectives and goals and summarize achievements of programs in reports and other documents as requested.     
• Documented experience working as an active, contributing team member, as well as an independent and self-motivated employee.
• Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines, handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments.

Additional Considerations

• Experience with the utilization of a Recruitment Management System.
• Experience establishing and maintaining recruitment files.
• Prior experience working in a Human Resources Office.
• Knowledge of HR functions and a general familiarity of HR policy and procedure.
• Experience administering or assisting with Employee Recognition and/or Service Awards programs.
